About Kelly Pfleider
Kelly is a graduate of Cal State University, Long Beach in 2007 with a degree in Communication Studies. Subsequently, she distinguished herself with a 4.0 Masters Degree in Applied Theater Arts in 2012 at the University of Southern California. As part of her Masters Program Internship, Kelly studied Theater of the Oppressed techniques in Rio De Janeiro Brazil at CTO: Center for Theater of the Oppressed.
Kelly has been an expert of performance education since 2005. She has led self-reflection courses at Continuation High Schools, professed Communication Studies on college campuses, developed online teen broadcasting channels with EqualityTV, and has created several community justice collaborations to instigate social awareness.
As the President and Founder of Pure Praxis, she currently leads her team to Naval bases around the world as one of the Department of Navy’s top prevention and awareness programs. She sets her sights on new communities: other armed services branches, college systems, corporate America, and professional sports. Her goal is to create innovative approaches to address difficult societal issues and give a voice to the voiceless.
About Tom Pfleider
Tom is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Duluth with a degree in Business Administration. He completed his Masters in Business at the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis
Tom has been involved in the healthcare industry for over 30 years. After a brief stint working with American Hospital Supply (now Baxter Healthcare), Tom began his lifelong career as an Entrepreneur.
In 1986, Tom started Surgi Cal, Inc, an independent rep organization providing products and services to Southern California hospitals and surgeons. Surgi Cal continues to thrive under his leadership. Tom’s expert knowledge of surgical guidance systems for the brain and spine led to an innovative new service for accessing surgical navigation on a fee per use basis. Since it’s start in 2002, META Dynamic is now the most successful program of its kind in the nation.
In a separate venture, Tom’s idea for immediate supplier support of critical situations in the operating room led to his development of iOS based apps to provide a HIPAA compliant reference library and direct visual interface for nurses and surgeons.
As General Manager for Pure Praxis, Mr. Pfleider brings his business experience as Founder, President and CEO of multiple companies.
About Nicole Snell
Nicole Snell received a full academic scholarship to Cal State Long Beach, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Speech Communication. She spent the next 12 years immersed in the entertainment industry as a Line Producer for TV & Digital programming before bringing her skills to Pure Praxis.
Her responsibilities include facilitating live workshops worldwide and designing/managing the Pure Praxis website. She is a NOVA certified victim advocate and is deeply grateful for the opportunity to have positively impacted the lives of thousands of military & civilian personnel since 2014 through her work with Pure Praxis. She is an active volunteer in her community and passionately advocates that through education, respect and collaboration we can change the world.
Lead Actor & Actor Trainer
About William Leonard-Fortes
Willie Leonard-Fortes is the Lead Actor and Actor Trainer for Pure Praxis. He studied acting in California States University Fullerton’s competitive Bachelor of Fine Arts program. He has been active on the stage and screen for over a decade. In addition, to his leading roles on Los Angeles and Southern California stages, he has also performed in cities all over the United States as well as over 20 stages internationally.
As an integral part of the Pure Praxis team, Willie has had the fortunate pleasure of working with and supporting tens of thousands of U.S. Service members since 2014. Focusing performances on Sexual Assault Prevention for the United States Department of Navy has allowed him to work hand in hand with the Navy’s top authorities on the subject in the Pentagon. Willie continues to work fiercely, using entertainment as a means to educate and converse with communities on tough social issues.
